There is an ASL Social Night at the Starbucks in Yucaipa, CA on July 27, from 4 to 8 PM! They're hoping to turn it into a full deaf event, so spread the word and join them if you can!
You can add yourself to the event on Facebook here:
This blog is for everyone, whether hearing, hard of hearing, or deaf. Here we can comment, read, and watch videos and posts about sign language and deaf culture.

UPDATES: New Look, New Pages!
I've updated the old ASLFL black, grey and red look and changed it to black, white, grey and blue! I think the new appearance gives it a fresh look.
More news, which is probably much more important to all of you, is that I've made new pages and updated the A Brief Page On Facial Expression page to include facial expression when marking the topic in a sentence.
The new pages include Role-Shifting, and Listing and Ranking/Birth Order.
Role-Shifting involves situations when you are discussing what you did for the day or for a day in the past, or what you have planned in the future. It's also important when telling a story!
Listing and Ranking/Birth Order is important when discussing family, perhaps your children and the ages they are at the time, as well as when you want to list things. In ASL, the word AND is not used. So, you would not say, "I love dogs and cats and birds." You would create a list using your hand, then list each one.
But, I don't believe I need to continue further on that in this post, because now you have a page to go to! Good luck and thanks for your support!
